The KAWSANKI (pronounced cow-sun-ghee) Collection is Pacha Arts’ debut apparel launch. Kawasanki translates to “living” in Kichwa, placing Indigenous Kichwa peoples as ever present around the world, outside of the museum narrative. Often the subject of current academic study, this collection celebrates Indigenous Andean Peoples as existing and thriving in past, present and future. It is a remixing time itself: Yallishka Pacha (past), Kunan Pacha (present), and Unaypi Shamuna Pacha (future), acknowledging its cyclical nature, advancing Andean fashion in unprecedented ways.
These two piece that we have launched are made with love and care for our community, we thank you for supporting our work and continue to follow our journey in building roads that reconnect our ancestors
