Kawsanki Collection

The KAWSANKI Collection (pronounced kau-sun-gui) honors the resilience, creativity, and existence of Indigenous Andean Peoples—thriving in the past, present, and future, beyond the confines of museum narratives. It is a remixing of time itself: Yallishka Pacha (past), Kunan Pacha (present), and Unaypi Shamuna Pacha (future), embracing the cyclical nature of Andean cosmology. The driving force behind this collection is that each piece is meant to clothe our future ancestors—those shaping the world today and protecting their communities, even in spirit form. 

Inspired by traditional Kichwa Otavalo garments, the collection’s silhouettes and fabrics reflect the shapes of mountains and rivers, weaving together Indigenous Futurism with ancestral knowledge. The words KAWSANKI itself means "living" in Kichwa, making this collection a testament to the vibrancy of Kichwa culture, thriving outside of colonial narratives.
