Kichwa women from Peguche (Ecuador) take great pride in adorning themselves with beautiful anacos (skirts) all the days of the year, including during the most important celebrations of the year such as the solstice and equinox. These skirts feature exquisite embroidered designs (KINGUS) reminiscent of the local landscape, including mountains, water waves, and growing crops.
Kingu pendant was carefully made in Peguche, Otavalo, Ecuador by self taught Kichwa artist Pedro Maldonado.
