Pedro Maldonado comes from the community of Peguche near Otavalo, Ecuador. He is a self taught metal work artist creating unique jewellery by using traditional materials such as silver, copper, brass, palosanto, chrysacolla and various semi-precious stones. He is most commonly known as "Metalico", due to his love for metal music.
