Jeannette Paulina Canio Ñanculeo is a Mapuche artisan from Santiago, Chile, specializing in traditional silversmithing. Since 2004, she has crafted handmade pieces, and in 2008, she fully committed to her art under her business, "Janekeo Kanio: Origin and Tradition." Her work includes silver rings, pectorals, and other traditional designs.
Jeannette has received several certifications and training, including the "Compatibility, Innovation and Design Program for Chilean MIPES" from Sercotec, a diploma from the "Design and Continuous Improvement Program" by the University of the Americas, and the Indigenous Product Certification from the University of Chile. She also enhanced her skills through programs like "Yo Emprendo" and an internship funded by CONADI at the World Indigenous Business Forum in Saskatoon, Canada. Jeannette was a featured artist at Indigenous Fashion Art Marketplace Spotlight in Toronto - 2024.
Active in fairs and exhibitions in Santiago, Jeannette continues to share her culture and craftsmanship, blending tradition with entrepreneurship.
