Emerging from our well-received debut collection, Kawsanki (meaning "to live"), this skirt represents our inner strength and the reality of ourselves as future ancestors. Designed with a formal and modest approach, it offers an understated silhouette that falls below the knee, representative of traditional Kichwa garments but crafted for everyday wear while carrying the depth of ancestral continuity.

This design first came alive at DUAL Pasarela, a runway that took place on the equator line in Mitad del Mundo or Middle of the World in Ecuador. 

Designed by Yana Manta (Kinoo Arcentales Cajas) and woven in collaboration with Kichwa families in Imbabura, Ecuador, the textile itself is an expression of Indigenous sovereignty and slow fashion. From fabric to finishing, it is 100% Indigenous owned and operated, a living example of Indigenous Futurism and the thriving presence of Andean creativity.

This skirt can proudly be worn by all.

Materials: Cotton-acrylic blend fabric

Handmade with care; each piece carries slight variations in pattern for a unique result.

Designer Yana Manta (Kinoo Arcentales Cajas) takes inspiration from his Kichwa roots, as well as his lifelong journey of navigating two worlds that have always felt like home: that of southern and northern indigenous communities, which are both distinct, yet carry similar teachings.

SHIPPING NOTE

All orders from this collection that ship to the US have a $35 USD shipping fee with no added tariff upon arrival. Due to changes in our shipping structure between Canada/USA to address tariff issues, orders to the US may take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to arrive. Where and how do you ship?

We use Canada Post or UPS to ship all our items to Canada and U.S. Due to issues with customs and delays, we do not send packages to American addresses without a tracking number. We currently do not ship internationally, but are working on expanding towards that in the future!

How long will my delivery take?

We are a small team multitasking on the daily so deliveries are sent out once a week on either Fridays or Saturdays. If you ordered on a Saturday after we've left, please allow for deliveries to take up to 1 week. If you have an urgent request, please call us at 647 525 7731 and we can accommodate an earlier delivery. 

Curbside Pickup

Curbside pick up is available from Monday to Saturday, 11am - 7pm. We are located near St Clair and Dufferin. Address will be provided once you check out.

We currently do not have a storefront and operate online only.

If you would like to see our items in person, you may schedule a visit at our home studio. Please give us a call at 647 525 7731 to arrange and time and date. 

Return Policy

Due to the uniqueness and effort behind all our handmade items, we do not accept returns.
